YMCA Ukraine

YMCA Ukraine contributes to the PACE consortium through programmes that strengthen youth organisations and expand access to quality non-formal learning.

As the delivery partner on the ground, YMCA Ukraine leads day-to-day implementation across Kyiv, Lviv, and Kharkiv, working directly with local youth workers and the young people they support. The team pilots PACE’s youth-support programmes and peer networks before they’re rolled out more widely across the consortium, testing what works in real community settings and feeding those lessons back into the project’s training and digital tools.

Building on YMCA’s long-standing presence in Ukrainian communities, the organisation focuses on reaching young people affected by conflict and displacement — helping them stay connected to education, employability support, and safe peer spaces at a time when continuity is hardest to maintain. Through PACE, YMCA Ukraine also plays a role in strengthening the wider network of local youth NGOs, sharing practical, co-created approaches with partners in Moldova and Georgia as part of the project’s cross-border learning model.
